Frozen Treat Bar

I received product and compensation to create this frozen treat bar sponsored post but all thoughts and opinions are my own.

Summer is all about swimming and playdates and frozen treats to combat our Texas heat!  I love setting up fun little bars for the kids and this frozen treat bar is so fun and so easy … and a total win with my crowd!  A fun set up makes a normal day feel like a party … and life should be full of little parties, right?

a frozen treat bar

Creating a backdrop is an easy way to set a confined area for a treat bar.  Hanging streamers side by side on a wall is one of the simplest ways to create a backdrop.  And a banner is a must.

For this frozen treat themed bar, I added white gumballs scattered as table confetti.  They look like miniature snowballs, don’t they?

A drink dispenser full of refreshing, strawberry-infused water is all that’s needed …

… besides a bucket of frozen treats, of course.  The original, authentic Bomb Pop is our family favorite!  The colors are so perfect for summer and we love the iconic rocket shape but the flavors are the best.  Fresh, tart, and fruity all in one, the cherry, lime, and blue raspberry flavors are a win!

My favorite way to serve frozen treats to a crowd is to place dry ice in the bottom of a bucket, add a pile of ice cubes on top, and push the wrapped treats into the ice.  A bit of hot water poured into the container will make the dry ice emit a white fog that the kids love.

And it keeps the frozen treats frozen long enough to get the party started!  {Just be careful not to touch the dry ice directly.}

I let the kids help themselves to the Bomb Pops …

… and once opened, I help them slip the Bomb Pop stick through a slit I cut into cupcake wrappers.  The cute wrapper keeps the kids’ hands from getting sticky with dripping frozen treats.  It’s the perfect mom hack.

    I love your treat bar, Randi! Everything looks perfect for this awful heat we’ve been having. I also appreciated the Bomb Pop reminder ~ I loved those when I was growing up. I need to pick some up for my kids.
