This Fourth of July beverage bar post is sponsored by Coupons.com.  All thoughts and opinions are my own.

I have a fun project to share with you today: a Fourth of July beverage bar made with items from Home Depot!  I love the way this red, white, and blue beverage bar turned out and I can’t wait to set it up again on Independence Day!  The DIY beverage tags are such a fun touch and I’m sure I’ll use them for all kinds of summer holidays!

As part of a Coupons.com promotion, I was given a $50 e-card to Home Depot and challenged to make something for the Fourth of July.  I found some fun things at Home Depot and embellished them to make this red, white, and blue beverage bar.

red, white, and blue beverage bar

The red striped tablecloth is made from a drop cloth.  I taped off stripes and spray painted the bare areas red {it took two coats to get bright, vivid stripes}.  I love the way it looks and I’ll use it all summer long.

I gave a plain board a coat of blue spray paint and then covered it randomly with vinyl stars that I cut with my Silhouette.

I couldn’t resist adding a little washi tape banner to the jug pedestal {the jug pedestal is a new favorite purchase from Pottery Barn}.

And the final {and my favorite} touch are the drink tags.  I saw similar tags in the latest Ballard Designs catalog and made a set with a Fourth of July touch.

drink tags made from wood shims

I started with a package of wood shims and cut them almost in half …

… drilled a hole in the end and spray painted them red.  I didn’t bother sanding them but just left them looking a bit rugged.

I added labels with white vinyl {using my Silhouette} …

… and tied them on with twine.

My little hardware-store-inspired beverage bar will be getting a lot of use this summer!

I’d use the Home Depot 15% off small appliances to get a new toaster oven, so I can bake without heating up the regular oven, which would keep my kitchen a lot cooler.
