21 Festive Fall Garlands

Are you ready for cooler weather, pretty leaves, and pots full of hot apple cider?  Fall is probably my favorite season and I want pumpkins everywhere, along with all the fall things!  If you feel the same way, grab a few pumpkins, throw some acorns in a jar, and make one of these fabulous and festive DIY fall garlands!

DIY Fall Garlands

Don’t worry if the leaves haven’t started changing color where you live.  This dollar store leaf garland uses faux leaves instead of real ones.

If you have access to a magnolia tree, the chunky look of a magnolia leaf garland is perfect for fall.  The leaves will turn brown the longer it’s inside, but it’ll still look great.  And I have the easiest way to quickly make one!

Take the kids out on a fall nature walk, let them collect pinecones, then head back home to make this pinecone garland.

Newspaper is relatively inexpensive and easy to find and looks amazing when upcycled into a newspaper acorn garland.  It’s amazing what a few recycled materials can amount to!

I love the rustic look of this twig garland and it can definitely go from one season to the next.  Who else would keep this up year round in their home?

Acorns are the cutest and this felted wool acorn garland has me smitten. 

A yarn pumpkin garland is not only adorable but also a great way to add a little color into your fall decor.  The kids could even help with this one!

Gather up all your pretty fall colored paper supplies and whip up a paper leaf garland.  Like the book page and newspaper garlands above, this one would be simplest with a Cricut!

Did you know you can actually sew real leaves together?  Grab some leaves {skip the crunchy ones} and sew up this stitched leaf garland!  I’ve made one of these before and it was gorgeous!

Nothing says fall quite like the rustic nature of burlap and this ruffled burlap garland will add texture to a mantel or shelf.  The best part?  It’s pretty inexpensive to create.
