Easy Coffee Glazed Rolls

A lazy Saturday morning with sweet rolls and a strong cup of coffee pretty much equals perfection in my mind.  I don’t mind storebought rolls but nothing beats fresh-from-the-oven sweet rolls.  This recipe for easy coffee glazed rolls combines the delicious taste of homemade cinnamon rolls with the ease of monkey bread … and the coffee flavor pairs perfectly with a Saturday morning!  The best part?  This recipe gets prepared in just minutes the night before so all you have to do is pop it in the oven in the morning.  Pretty perfect, right?

easy coffee glazed rolls

To make these easy sweet rolls, you’ll need

20 frozen bread dough rolls

1/4 cup dry cheesecake instant pudding powder

1 cup brown sugar

1/2 cup melted butter, and

2 tablespoons instant coffee powder.

ingredients for coffee glazed cinnamon rolls

Layer ten frozen dough rolls in the bottom of a greased bundt pan, spacing them evenly around the pan.  Sprinkle with half of the pudding powder and half of the brown sugar.

Top with the other ten rolls, spacing them evenly as well.  Sprinkle with the remaining pudding powder and brown sugar.

In a small cup, dissolve the instant coffee in 1 tablespoon of water and stir it into the melted butter.  Drizzle the butter mixture over the frozen rolls.

Cover with a damp towel and let the bundt pan sit overnight at room temperature {don’t refrigerate!}.

When you wake up in the morning and uncover the pan, the rolls will have risen to fill the pan and the coffee mixture will have seeped in between.

Bake at 350 degrees for 25 minutes.  Remove the pan from the oven and let it sit for a couple of minutes …

Refrigerate any leftovers and heat lightly in the microwave when you’re ready to serve them.
