Easter Treat Package

Today I’m sharing a fun Easter treat package that I made using the Silhouette Studio Designer Edition Software.  For those of you that own a Silhouette, did you know you can upgrade your software?  Honestly, I had no idea!  And I’m so glad I found out because the upgraded software has some really great features!

My favorite feature on the Designer Edition Software is the Knives option.  Watch what you can do!

To make the little egg, I drew an oval …

… and then selected the Knives option from the left sidebar.  A full menu will appear on the right sidebar and you can select all kinds of options for the type of cut you want {I love the variety}.  I selected the triangular cut and then, using my mouse, I drew a line straight across the egg.

The cut appears exactly as you make it and you can use your mouse to pull the pieces apart.  Isn’t that cool?  I have so many fun ideas for that option alone!

To finish off my Easter treats package, I drew another circle for the chick, and used the polygon tool to make a small triangle for the nose.

I cut the shapes from colored paper and also cut a rectangle for the main part of the treat package.

I filled a plastic bag with treats, glued the bag to the inside of the rectangle, and folded the packet …

… leaving a small envelope-style tab at the top.

I put my little chick together and glued him over the tab on the treat package.

These Easter treat packages are such a simple little craft but they would make a fun treat for classmates or even a sweet addition to the place settings at Easter dinner.

I was given the Silhouette Studio Designer Edition Software in order to write this post but all opinions are my own.
