You know what I love about decorating for Easter? You can turn almost anything into a rabbit or a carrot and call it Easter decor. Right? And it doesn’t matter what it is, it’s all cute. I’m adding one more project to this year’s carrot collection with a test tube carrot party favor that makes a sweet take-home treat or the perfect plate topper for Easter brunch or dinner.
To make this simple party favor, you’ll need plastic or glass cork-topped test tubes. I found these ones at Michaels and I can’t remember what I paid for them but they were really reasonable.
Fill each test tube with orange jelly beans or another bright orange candy.
Cut a few pieces of green wire ribbon {I love the texture of this yarn wrapped wire ribbon} and stick the wire ends into the cork top. If the cork is too dense to push the wire in, make a tiny hole with scissors and then poke the wire into place.
In less than two minutes you have a fun favor to top the plates at Easter dinner.
But if you want to embellish the favor a bit more, add bright washi tape stripes spaced evenly along the test tube.
Each test tube carrot party favor is complete with just a few simple steps and a table full of plates topped with these carrots will brighten up your Easter tablescape and add such a whimsical touch. And you can bet the kids will love them!

This carrot is adorable. So wish I had seen it before 7 PM on Easter… Oh well, might need to throw a garden party just so I can make these 🙂
