Our family vacation this year is to Disney World. We’re biting the bullet, opening the wallet, and taking all five kids to Disney. The last time we went {when we only had two kids and they were really young} our homemade Disney autograph books were one of our favorite souvenirs. I decided to make them for my younger kids for our trip this year and thought you might like to sneak a peek.
When I made autograph books for our last trip, I used small blank page coil books and added a little title page with stickers.
We had each character sign on the right side of the book and when we got home we printed out all our character photos and glued the coordinating photo across from the signature. It ended up being such a special, personal souvenir of a really amazing trip.
This time, I couldn’t find small coil books but did find fairly small blank journals {with unlined pages} that would work well. The key is to make sure they’re lightweight so you’re not dragging heavy books around all day. I bought a different color book for each child and then bought coordinating scrapbook paper {the dots reminded me of Minnie Mouse} and went through my scrapbook stash for large letter stickers.
I cut a strip of paper and glued it across the middle of the front and back covers, wrapping right around the binding. Besides looking cute and colorful, the paper also covered over the journal logo.
To finish them off, I added a large monogram sticker for each child {so we can quickly grab books and know which one belongs to which child}.
The books look so cute and have us feeling pretty excited about our summer trip. Now if only someone would plan all the tour details for me {wink}.
