Decorating Tips from a Hotel Room

These decorating tips from a hotel room were written as a sponsored post for Frette.  All thoughts and opinions are mine.

I love staying in a hotel: the lush, clean sheets, the tidy room, the maid and room service, and piles of pillows are the ingredients for a relaxing stay.  And a gorgeous hotel like The Venetian in Las Vegas?  Even better!  I can’t get you a view of the strip or gondolas on a canal but I can help you recreate the look of a luxury hotel room.  The Venetian has been praised as having the most comfortable hotel beds in the U.S. and you can have that same look and feel in your own home with luxury products from Frette!  These decorating tips from a hotel room will have you relaxing in your house like you’re staying at an upscale hotel!

This hotel room {source} has certain features that make it beautiful.  The fabric panels that frame the bed, the chaise at the end of the bed, the modern fixtures, and the serene colors all work together to create a stately room but the lavish, inviting bed is really the focal point.  And guess what?  You can totally copy it!

decorating tips from a hotel room

1.  A plush white comforter is one of the best things about a hotel bed!  The Hotel Charme Duvet Cover {filled with the Massa Medium Down Alternative Duvet Filler} is 100% Egyptian cotton sateen and will make you think you just flopped onto a fluffy bed at a posh hotel.

2.  The sheets at The Venetian are Egyptian cotton, much like the Hotel Charme Bed Set from Frette.  I love the jacquard stripes providing just a hint of pattern and texture.  Don’t they add a luxurious look to the sheets?

3.  Extra pillows are a must for any cozy bed.  Don’t you just love all the extra pillows you always get at a hotel?  It feels so extravagant.  Stock up on a few Hotel Charme Shams and fill them with large, fluffy pillows to create that feeling in your bedroom.

4.  A colorful or patterned pillow or bolster is a great way to add color to a room and provide some contrast or tie in a chair or drapes.

5.  Each bed at The Venetian has a 400 count wool throw on it.  It’s a great way to add some warmth, some coziness, or just a bit of texture to a bed.  The Bella Chocolate Throw is cashmere and is a beautiful addition to any bed.

And let’s not forget the bathroom!

6.  Thick white towels {and plenty of them}, like the Suite Bath Towel, give a bathroom a spa-like feel.

7.  Stepping out of the shower onto a plush bath mat is the only good thing about leaving that hot spray.  The thick super plush terry Triplo Bourdon Bath Mat is perfect for capturing the hotel feel at home.

8.  And you can’t forget a fluffy, white robe!  No hotel movie scene is ever complete without a fluffy robe, right?  Curl up in the Hotel Shawl Collar Robe to complete your hotel-at-home!

Be sure to sneak a peek at the Frette website, and follow along on facebook, twitter, google plus, pinterest, and instagram.
