Valentine’s Day Tablescape with Duct Tape

The duct tape used in this Valentine’s Day tablescape was provided by Duck Brand.  All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Duck Brand Duck Tape recently sent me some duct tape in fun Valentine colors and I set out to create a little Valentine’s Day tablescape, using a Pottery Barn catalog photo as inspiration.

I covered our little table with fabric and added a double-sided duct tape heart to the napkin holder …

… and used double-sided hearts as table confetti.

More double sided hearts?  Sure!  A duct tape heart chandelier added some sweet ambiance above the table.  Valentine’s Day is the perfect day to mix red and every shade of pink, isn’t it?  I used Duck Brand Duck Tape in Winking White, Flamingo, Cha Cha Cherry, and a patterned pink polka dot.

My little blonde valentine was even dressed for the part with duct tape barrettes.

To make these barrettes, I simply covered an alligator clip with a thin strip of duct tape …

… then folded a piece of duct tape onto itself and cut out a heart shape {this is also how I made the double-sided hearts used above}.  I layered different sizes of hearts and used a dab of hot glue to hold them together.  All three of my girls love the barrettes!  So simple that they could even make some themselves.

My little valentine loved the tablescape …

… and the pink cookies!

But the highlight of this Valentine’s Day tablescape?  This duct tape chair back envelope.  It’s perfect for tucking away a love note or two.  Click on the link for the full tutorial.

How are you celebrating Valentine’s Day this year?
