A Valentine Banner and Pillow

I’ve been doing some fun Valentine painting and my house is now decorated with an adorable felt valentine banner and pillow!  I’m loving the red and pink … it’s totally put me in the mood for Valentine’s Day!  There’s just something I love about red and pink mixed together.

valentine banner and pillow

To make the banner and pillow I used a pre-made felt and fabric banner from the Target Dollar Spot {total score!} …

I cut vinyl stencils using my Silhouette …

Isn’t this glitter paint awesome?  I love the shimmer and it covered so well with only one coat!

The banner took no time at all to make and it’s a great accent on my mantel!

To make the pillow, I cut another stencil …

I used red felt to sew a simple envelope-style pillow and sewed the muslin onto the front.  I left the edges raw ’cause I like it when they get a little frayed and scrappy.

I love this little pillow …

Such a cute Valentine’s display ~ I had no idea DecoArt had a soft paint. I’m going to get some for a few pillows I’ve been looking to decorate.
