I love shopping at my local Market Street and I love it even more during a holiday season. I spend time in the gift area, smell the seasonal flowers in the floral department, and scoop up all kinds of seasonal goodies. With Valentine’s Day right around the corner, I’ve been planning some fun and romantic ideas for my husband. With a quick trip to Market Street {a one stop shop for Valentine’s Day!}, we’ll be enjoying chocolate wine {in a glitter wine bottle, no less} and chocolate covered strawberries … and great company, of course!
Market Street has an extensive wine area with an impressive selection of wines from all over the world. {There are even wine stewards to help you choose the perfect wine!} I picked up a bottle of chocolate wine and decided to add a fun and glittery twist for Valentine’s Day.
Covering a wine bottle with glitter is super easy and not at all time consuming. You can cover the entire thing or you can make a little heart-shaped window like I did for a sweet little touch. Start by placing a heart-shaped sticker on the glass of the wine bottle. If you can’t find a place without the label, simply peel back part of the label.
With a foam brush, cover the entire bottle, label and all, with mod podge {affiliate link}. Be sure to get all the edges of the heart sticker covered but leave a tiny bit of the sticker showing … otherwise, it’s nearly impossible to find it once you’ve applied the glitter.
Shake fine glitter {affiliate link for my favorite glitter} all over the mod podge, tap the bottle gently to knock off the excess {do it over a piece of paper so you can pour the excess back into the glitter bottle} …
… and then remove the heart sticker immediately. If you wait to remove the sticker, the mod podge will adhere it right to the bottle.
Making a glitter wine bottle is so easy and it adds such a fun touch to a romantic evening for two!
For an extra-sweet touch, pair the wine with a plate of chocolate-covered strawberries!
Right now, you can find fresh chocolate-covered strawberries in the bakery at Market Street.
You can even order chocolate-covered strawberries with your favorite toppings and colors!
If strawberries aren’t your thing, stop by the bakery to order a customized heart-shaped sweetheart cake. There’s no limit to the romance taking place at Market Street this month!
However you choose to celebrate, stop at Market Street and spoil your special someone!

You have so many great ideas here! I love the glittery bottle. It’s just fun! (A bit messy, but fun!) Maybe I will give this a try for my husband and me, who will be staying at home (like the rest of the world) for Valentine’s Day this year! The match and the candle are really cute too:)
