Knit Ribbon Scarf

Although I’ve been a bit slow and quiet on the knitting front this year {this is only my third project}, I finally have something to show you: this gorgeous ribbon scarf!  This is a quick and easy knit and the project is a fun one.  Even more fun?  The gorgeous final outcome of this wavy scarf!

My mom bought me a skein of this unique microfiber ribbon when she was in Portland, Maine last summer and gave it to me for my birthday.  The coral tone is so beautiful {and perfect for someone who loves orange as much as I do!} and I love the shimmer.

Since you’re likely not heading to Maine any time soon {smile},  you can find similar ribbon yarn online {affiliate link}.

I wanted to knit this skein up in a way that would really show off the interesting texture of the ribbon yarn and this wavy pattern was perfect!  It’s simple to knit but keeps the project interesting with just enough pattern.  {You can click the link for the free pattern.}

The waves lend themselves perfectly to this fiber, allowing you to really see the shape and subtle changes in color.

The texture and drape of this scarf are so feminine and pretty … I can’t wait to wear it this fall when the weather cools just a little.  In a cooler climate, this ribbon scarf is light enough to be worn year-round.
