A Hot Dog Bar

This hot dog bar is a sponsored conversation written by me on behalf of Ball Park® brand. The opinions and text are all mine.

When you think of summer, what food comes to mind?  For me, it’s grilled hot dogs, platters of watermelon, and side dishes like baked beans and potato salad.  Add a variety of hot dog toppings and you have the ingredients for a summer favorite: a hot dog bar!

We always start with our favorite: Ball Park Park’s Finest hot dogs and buns.  Made with one hundred percent beef and infused with premium seasoning you can see, they take a grilled meal to the next level.  Ball Park Park’s Finest hot dogs don’t have any artificial preservatives or flavors, no colors or fillers, and no nitrates or nitrites are added.  You can feel good about feeding Ball Park Park’s Finest to your family!

While I love hot dogs with nothing on them {cold leftover hot dogs are my favorite}, I also love to load them up with some of my favorite toppings.  Simply fill small mason jars or dishes with all the favorites: diced purple onions, sliced green onions, crumbled bacon, grated cheese, sliced dill pickles, chopped or sliced jalapenos {pickled or fresh}, chili, sauerkraut, and the standard condiments like mustard, mayo and ketchup.

Let everyone dress their own hot dog just the way they like it.  A hot dog bar is one of my favorite family entertaining ideas, especially when we’re going to have a house full of kids {a house full besides the house full that already lives here!}.  It’s an easy way to please a crowd.

Along with the hot dogs, I’ve been experimenting with throwing a few other things on the grill this summer.  We always love grilled pineapple but this year we tried grilled watermelon as well.  The verdict?  Delicious!  Grilled or chilled, watermelon is a refreshing meal addition for hot summer days.

Besides grilled watermelon, we all love creamy potato salad.  Click on the link for this delicious recipe.

Ready for some more summer grilling action?  The Ball Park brand is going to attempt to break a Guinness World Record for the Longest Barbecue Marathon {team} in New York City August 13 and you can be a part of it!  Submit a video of you grilling your finest hot dog creation and tell Ball Park about your passion for grilling hot dogs and why you should be part of the team!  Visit the Food Network for full contest details!  I’ll be tuned in to the live stream, watching the grillmasters at work!
