Wrapping Up May

Spring is over and summer has hit full force here in Texas … and I mean full force.  We attended an outdoor wedding last weekend and it was very obvious that summer has arrived {wink}.  May was a quieter month around here but I’ve got some fun projects planned for June and the schedule should pick up … unless once my kids are finally out of school I get way too used to sleeping in and a lighter routine {smile}.  But before we tackle June, let’s take a quick look back at the top five most viewed projects at Dukes and Duchesses during the month of May.  Click on the links below to view the full project with all the details and instructions and be sure to pin and share your favorites so you can recreate them at home!

In May, I shared how I’m keeping my yard mosquito free this summer and created a DIY embellished outdoor umbrella {pom poms, anyone?} so we can lounge outside and truly enjoy our backyard during the summer months …

… repurposed hardware store paint chips into paint chip flower magnets that look bright and colorful on my magnetic memo board …

… created a paper and iron on wood sign using the Wisteria Cricut Explore Air 2 from Joann {this was my first time using iron on heat transfer on wood and I LOVE the way it turned out} …

… made a sparkle wall hanging for my youngest daughter’s room … and it truly sums up how she lives her life …

… and cooked maple balsamic grilled chicken, an easy and delicious meal idea that we’ll keep making all summer long!  With only a few ingredients, the marinade couldn’t be simpler and the combination of slightly sweet and savory is a win!

I’d love to see what you were creating last month!  Leave a comment or share a photo with us on the Dukes and Duchesses facebook page!
