Wrapping Up August

It’s September … the beginning of my favorite time of year!  We got our first taste of cooler temperatures yesterday and I could almost taste the hot apple cider.  I’m decorating my front porch today and I’m all set to throw a bit of fall everywhere … but first, let’s take a peek back at August and the end of summer.  The kids went back to school, I did some fun crafting {and even got started on some Halloween projects}, and my home got some colorful new curb appeal!  If you missed any of August’s projects, keep reading for the highlights: the top five most popular posts of August.  These are the posts you all viewed the most, pinned, and shared on social media … thank you!  Click the links below to see the full details on any of the posts … and then get ready for a creative September!

In August, I created a college survival kit with some of my favorite items and shared a printable tag so you can all pack up a basket for your favorite college students, too …

… had my front door painted bright red for a colorful entrance that matches my style and gives a sneak peek at the color you’ll find inside the door …

… shared a cheap and easy idea for cleaning the inside of plastic or stainless steel reusable straws …

… embellished a cute felt pencil bag from the dollar spot, transforming it into a lattes and lipstick {two of my favorites!} glitter makeup bag …

… and made a prick or treat Halloween cactus shirt with iron-on heat transfer cut with my Cricut Maker and applied with the EasyPress {affiliate links}.

I’ve got some fun projects and recipes planned for September so be sure to check back regularly … and sign up for the Dukes and Duchesses newsletter so you don’t miss a thing!
