Winter Wonderland Pool Party

This winter wonderland pool party was created as part of a sponsored post for Fruit Shoot™.  All thoughts and opinions are my own.

My kids love to be outside and they’re definitely but summer is HOT in Texas and our fun spring summer activities need water and a hint of cold!  This winter wonderland pool party was such a fun way to spend an active summer afternoon outside.  Combining the best of winter {snow} with the best of summer {pool parties} was a big win with my crew!

I’ve partnered with Fruit Shoot™ to share with you how my kids are enjoying the outdoors this summer.

Are you headed on a family adventure?  Or having one at home?  If so, take your camera along to capture the fun and share a video of your family adventure on the for a chance to win weekly prizes.  One lucky winner will receive a family trip to London, England!  Keep reading for more outdoor summer inspiration and entry details!

Food and drinks are a must for any party so I set up a make it yourself snow cone station for the kids.  I added a few snowball pom pom garlands and styrofoam balls for decor …

… and added some wintery white snacks …

I set out a bin full of cold , a fruit juice drink for kids.  The kids could drink them straight from the bottle or use them to make snow cones.

I bought a bucket of shaved ice from our local snow cone store …

… and let the kids make their own snow cones.

Instead of flavoring the snow cones with sugary syrup, we used a couple of different flavors of Fruit Shoot™.

Fruit Shoot™ is free of artificial flavors and contains no high fructose corn syrup making it the perfect choice for kids.  It’s also available in No Sugar Added varieties with 20 calories or less and three grams of sugar.

The kids loved them and they were a refreshing way to enjoy the fruit drink.

In between snacking and snow cones, we played in the pool!  I added piles of different-sized white beach balls to the pool to look like giant snowballs.

The kids played games with them, volleying them around, and enjoying pool time.

They took breaks for refreshments {the re-sealable cap makes it easy to enjoy Fruit Shoot in the middle of an activity or on-the-go} …

… and then we brought real winter to the pool party with a pile of snowballs!  Our local snow cone store also sells snowballs all year long and we decided an in-pool snowball fight would be the perfect way to cool off!

We made mini snowmen, built snowball towers …

… and had a good old-fashioned snowball fight … in the pool!  They dove out of the way to avoid getting hit, taunted each other as you do in any good snowball fight, and had a blast!  And it definitely cooled them off!  It was the perfect way to get some exercise and a great alternative to screen time!

Our winter wonderland pool party was such a fun change from any other pool party we’ve had and we’re thinking of making it a summer tradition!
