Want a super cute {and easy} way to add a little fun to the lunchbox this year? These vinyl fruit face lunchbox ideas are just the thing! Made with scraps of vinyl and your cutting machine, they’ll bring about smiles at lunchtime … and add a bit of nutrition, too!
To make these vinyl fruit faces, you’ll need your choice of fresh fruit and vinyl in various colors. Small leftover scraps of vinyl work perfectly for this project. Use bold colors that contrast well with the fruit.
Combine different shapes made manually or download face images from the software to create the funny faces for the fruit. I downloaded a few different photo booth style images along with glasses to create these faces.
Cut the faces from vinyl, making sure the size of the face will fit well on the piece of fruit it was cut for.
Using transfer paper, apply the faces to the side of the fruit.
The faces will obviously adhere best to a flatter, smoother surface but they’ll work on any fruit. For bumpy fruit, like an orange, application of the face will be trickier but just carefully press the pieces into place until they stick.
Add fun details like bows and bow ties and get creative making these cute little faces.
Don’t you think the kids would love a little fruit face that resembled them? These little vinyl fruit faces just make me smile!
