A Back to School Lunch Box Packing Station

I created this back to school lunch box packing station as part of a sponsored post for Collective Bias® #cbias.

My kids were so excited to get back to school but I have to tell you that I’ve been dreading one thing about a new school year: packing school lunches.  I hate it.  I have every intention of packing cute themed lunches for the younger kiddos {like the ones on my Lunchbox Love pinterest board} but I get so tired of it that I often resort to grabbing whatever I can find.  This year I decided to conquer the dreaded task by creating a lunch box packing station for the twins.

I did some shopping at Walmart and grabbed a variety of Nestle meal solutions as well as a few plastic containers for the packing station.  I filled the containers with different meal essentials {main course, drinks, water bottles, and fresh fruit}.

My kids have access to a microwave at school so Lean Cuisine Simple Favorites French Bread Pepperoni Pizzas are a delicious, filling and easy meal for them.  And my kids love pizza so it’s a win-win.  {The Lean Cuisine Simple Favorites come in lots of different varieties but this seemed perfect for my guys.}

Another container holds Nestle Juicy-Juice {100% juice} boxes and Nestle Nesquick Ready to Drink chocolate milk {my kids are big chocolate milk fans} …

… and the next stop at the lunch box packing station holds small bottles of Nestle Pure Life water.

The assembly line ends with a couple of fresh fruit choices.

Now my twins are responsible for packing their lunches but I can be sure that they’re filling their boxes with well-rounded lunch choices.  My only job now is to set out the containers and instruct the twins to select one thing from each box.

 Luke and Lila actually love packing their own lunches and our lunch box packing station makes it simple to pack quick and easy meals.

 I love having one less job to do while still feeling comfortable that my kids are enjoying a healthy, filling lunch every day.

 What do you do to make school lunches simple?

    What a great idea! I don’t have to pack any lunches yet, but it won’t be long. This looks like an easy way to help keep it all together.

    What a fabulous idea! Wish my kiddo had microwave access at school! I love how you get them involved in easily packing their own lunch. I had my son pack his own for his first day today in the hopes that if he packed it and picked the food he’ll actually eat it…

    We’re not there yet with my kids (they are younger), but he does help me make his lunch. So this would be a great next step. Thanks!

    This is a great idea! I love how it just takes a little bit of time up front and then saves you a bunch in the end–plus gives kids a way to help in an easy way! Plus that lunch looks really tasty!
