Is there a kid in the world that doesn’t love slime? My girls are making it all the time … in different colors, with different recipes, with glitter and paint and all the things! It really is all the slime, all the time at my house. Lila got a bunch of slime-making ingredients as birthday gifts and she loved them so I decided to share the idea with you as well: a slime kit with a printable tag! You can package up the inexpensive ingredients for a birthday gift or a party favor … or just a fun treat for your own kiddos!
To make a slime kit, you’ll need the basic ingredients:
baking soda, and
There are other ways to make slime but this borax-free version is my favorite {you can see the basic recipe for slime here}.
In addition to the basics, you can also include glitter glue, clear glue, colorful glitter, colorful craft paint, or food coloring to jazz up the basic slime recipe and a jar or airtight container for storing the slime once it’s made.
Print out the printable slime tag by clicking the link and printing it on your home computer. Trim it to size with a paper cutter.
Find a cute container …
… and package the ingredients inside then attach the printable tag with colorful patterned washi tape to the outside of the container. You can also punch a hole in the tag and attach it with ribbon if that works better on the container you’ve chosen.
In about five minutes you’ve got a cute and fairly inexpensive gift idea that tweens and school-aged children will love! {And a gift that will keep them busy long after the party is over!}
Have your kids jumped on the slime trend?
