A few days ago, Tate and her little playgroup met at our neighborhood park for a simple Easter party. Park playdates are the best: built-in entertainment and no housecleaning before the party. I just grabbed a few items from home, added some cute but simple snacks and treats, and set up a little table right under a big tree.
I brought some simple store bought snacks for the kids to munch on. Nothing fancy, just a few things that were easy to grab while flying up and down the slides. No one wanted to stop for a formal snack time.
I filled striped paper boxes from the party store with goldfish and animal crackers, the food of champions for the younger crowd …
… and set out cotton candy bunny tails in little white paper treat cups with simple computer labels on the front. The Texas humidity didn’t mix well with the cotton candy but the kids didn’t care.
The duct tape easter bunny water bottles added a whimsical touch to the table and provided a healthy drink …
… and dollar store carrot straws {embellished with green ribbon stems} looked super cute and added a bit of color. I can never resist carrots at Easter!
The kids hunted for stuffed easter eggs throughout the park …
… and had fun smashing confetti-filled eggs {a favorite southern tradition}…
… on each other’s heads.
Tate had such a fun time with her little friends and I decided I might host all future parties at the park {smile}.
