Upcycled Be You Sign

This DIY be you sign is part of a sponsored post written by me on behalf of Duck Brand. All opinions are 100% mine.

You know I love Duck Brand® products but wait till you see what they’ve come out with now: Duck Brand Craft Tapes!  You can now buy Duck Fabric Crafting Tape, Duck Glitter Crafting Tape, Duck Prism Crafting Tape, and Duck Washi Crafting Tape … crazy and fabulous, right?  And the crafting possibilities are endless!  I made an adorable upcycled be you sign for my little girls using the Duck Fabric Crafting Tape and this new product is as good as it sounds!

Duck Brand® Duck Fabric Crafting Tape comes on a roll just like other tape.  It has a peel away liner and is so easy to use.

To make my sign I cut a piece of leftover molding about six inches long …

… distressed it with some sanding …

… then covered it with dark brown wax to give it a bit of an aged look and make the sanding a bit more apparent.

The Duck Brand® Duck Fabric Crafting Tape can be easily cut with scissors but I decided to try cutting letters out with my cutting machine.

I stuck the tape {with the liner intact} to my cutting mat and cut it, using a fabric setting.  It cut really well!

I peeled off the liner and stuck the letters along the wall molding.  I chose not to center the letters but if you like things really symmetrical you could definitely place them in the center.

The fabric texture on the craft tape is a fun soft touch against the wood and has a bit of a three dimensional effect that I love.

The upcycled be you sign makes sweet wall decor in my little girls’ bathroom and is a great reminder for them as they get ready each morning.

This crafting tape looks amazing! I’m going to look for it at Michael’s to give it a try!

    You make the cutest stuff!

We used Duck Brand tape to make the kids Halloween costumes this year…it was so easy, and who knew tape was so versatile?
