Summer in Texas is really hot and humid and refreshing drinks become a necessity and a coping strategy!  This rosemary grapefruit spritzer is delicious, refreshing, completely thirst-quenching, and it has a relatively low calorie count, making it the perfect choice for summer.  Plus, you can use the fresh rosemary you’re growing in your garden!

To make this slightly tart rosemary grapefruit spritzer, you’ll need

1 liter unflavored seltzer water {the store brand works great}

1 large fresh grapefruit

1 fresh lime

2-3 sprigs of fresh rosemary, and

1 tablespoon vanilla syrup.

ingredients for rosemary grapefruit spritzer

Cut the grapefruit in half and squeeze the juice into a bowl.  Place the rosemary sprigs in the juice and muddle the leaves to release the rosemary flavor into the juice.

Strain the juice into a pitcher and add the bottle of seltzer water, the juice from the lime, and the vanilla syrup.  Stir gently to combine the ingredients …
