My twins are going to camp for a week this summer and I thought it would be fun to send them with a printable camp journal to document some of their great {or not-so-great} camp moments. When they return home, it’ll be a fun way for me to read about some of their camp memories and we’ll slip the journals into our Project Life album along with some camp photos to keep forever.
So much happens when the kids are away at camp and it’s not always easy to remember everything when they get home. Having this little journal is a quick and easy way for kids to document a bit about their days at camp.
I printed my kids’ names on the front of their camp journals to personalize them. The space is blank on the printable version so you can write in your child’s name, spell it out in stickers, or use a Cricut machine to personalize the cover with vinyl. You could even print these out, grab some snacks, and let the kids decorate the front page … it might be a fun family activity before the kiddos head off to camp!
Download your own copy of the printable camp journal by clicking the link and printing it out. Each page has three different topics to answer and the kids can write their responses in the colored boxes.
Once the pages are printed, attach them together by stapling the edges, clipping them, or stitching them with a sewing machine like I did. I love the look of stitching on paper!
The kids can take just a few minutes at the end of each day or during camp quiet time to write some answers in the boxes and, when camp is over, they’ll have a fun souvenir full of camp memories. Won’t it be fun to look back at the journal years down the road?

What a fun idea! The stitching up the side is a great touch. We’d love to have you share this at our weekly link party. Hope to see you there!
