Preparing for Holiday Entertaining

This post brought to you by BISSELL Homecare, Inc.. All opinions are 100% mine.

Once fall arrives, I mentally go into holiday mode.  I start thinking about the holiday entertaining I’ll do, the guests I’ll have over, and the festivities of the season.

This year I’ll be hosting Thanksgiving for 16-20 guests and I’ve already planned on hosting an open house at Christmas.  There will be other smaller gatherings as well.  For me, spending time with friends and family is one of the highlights of the holiday season.

But holiday entertaining means holiday cleaning: getting the house ready for guests and making it look its best.  It’s important to me that guests feel comfortable in my home and having a {fairly} clean house is part of that.

That’s why I’m so excited about using my new BISSELL this fall!

It may sound crazy to be excited about a vacuum but this machine has features that will really help me out with holiday cleaning!

BISSELL

Its new PowerGlide® with Lift-Off® technology will help me get the house in tip-top shape.  The one-step removable pod makes it easy to go up and down the stairs without trying to balance an awkward vacuum cleaner … which also means my kids can now vacuum the stairs!  Score, right?

LiftOff technology

And I can really tackle the crevices and side areas that sometimes get overlooked.

My house has nooks and crannies and ledges all over and while I sometimes forget to vacuum them, I’m sure they’re the first places that guests notice when they walk in.  I’d rather be remembered for my delicious mulled wine than my dusty window sills!  Before my guests arrive, I’ll be tackling the high ledges and sills with BISSELL’s long stretch hose and crevice tool.  And swivel steering means I can maneuver easily into the corners and under furniture.  It actually makes me a bit excited about holiday cleaning!

WOW I would love to have a removable canister for stairs, it is one of my most hated chores

Thankfully I have hypoallergenic dogs, so no shedding! YAY! However, this sounds like a great vacuum. Thanks for sharing, Randi! xo

I might actually be able to vacuum the stairs with one of these!! Wouldn’t that make my husband happy. 😉 He does it for me now because our vacuum is so heavy.

This sounds like a wonderful vacuum ~ I’m always having to lug mine up the stairs and back down and then balance it on each step to get them clean…I like yours much better!
