Nothing says Thanksgiving like a wishbone, right? We love making wishes on the wishbone every year at our house and they make fun favors too! Last year our Thanksgiving guests all received chocolate wishbones and this year I’ll be serving molded wishbone butter at Thanksgiving dinner.
This is the simplest idea for Thanksgiving but it’ll add a bit of fun and whimsy to the table. To make butter wishbones, you’ll need a wishbone mold {affiliate link}. Give the mold a light coating of olive oil or olive oil spray and dust it lightly with flour {this will help the butter release from the mold}.
Use a knife or small spatula to press softened butter into the mold then place it in the freezer for a few minutes.
When the butter has hardened {don’t let it freeze completely}, run a knife carefully around the edge of the mold until the butter wishbone releases.
Serve with rolls or bread and a cute spreader {this one started as a thrift store knife and was stamped with metal stamps}.
This simple molded wishbone butter will make a fun addition to the Thanksgiving table!
