Oh my goodness, I love these little butter pats. I saw the idea in a recent issue of Southern Living. You can order them but I thought it would be fun to DIY the project and make my own mini monogrammed butter pats. They were so simple to make and I think they’d be adorable at a luncheon for the ladies or at Thanksgiving Dinner. Aren’t they cute?
In addition to the butter, I used a tiny cookie cutter, a metal stamp {the kind used for pressing a monogram into wax on a letter}, and flour.
I sliced the cold butter into 1/4 inch pieces …
… and cut a shape into each one. {Keeping the butter cold is key if you want it to hold its shape and pop nicely out of the cutter.}
I dipped the metal stamp into flour, tapped it to remove any excess, and pressed it lightly into the butter, wiggling it a bit to get a good monogram. Don’t press too hard – it’ll just break up the butter!
The result is a cute monogrammed butter pat.
I love them! I’m planning on making them again with a big D for Thanksgiving Dinner.

What an adorable idea! This adds a nice touch for a fancy or not-so-fancy dinner you might be throwing. Mind if I steal the idea during the coming holidays? =)

Seriously adorable! Love them!

ABSOLUTELY ADORABLE!!! LOVE these!
Very cute. But someone who is Celiac (or gluten intolerance) would never know that the butter was contaminated. You would have to know your parties allergies and intolerances before serving these. Now I know to ask if I see cute butter to ask before I eat it!

I am so in love with these. Can we have a party with tea cups and monogrammed butter….how delightful and girly!
These are SOOO fun!!! Love it!
I love these and can’t wait to try these for our Thanksgiving dinner!
I wonder if you the stamp would work if you sprayed it with non stick spray instead of dipping in flour.
This is so cute and such a great way to personalize your holiday table! I love it, Randi!
These are darling, I am saving this idea for a special dinner!!!
Would have never thought of doing something like this, so pretty. These would be great for the holidays coming up. Thanks for linking up to Inspire Me Wednesday.:)
These are amazing Randi!! I love how cute they are – and they look like a lot of work but they’re not! I love the idea of doing them for Thanksgiving!
These are darling what a fun idea I want my own cute butter too but not sure if I’m up to the work haha
I am so in love with these. They are so chic. I would appreciate if you can tell us where did you buy the metal stamp please….Thank you so much..Wonderful Job.
The stamp can probably be found at any stationery store … it’s the type of stamp that you use for stamping wax on a letter. But I would think that any metal/rubber/plastic stamp would work {like one you might find at a craft store}.
So cute, Randi!! Love this idea!
what a great idea! I just saw your link up on the cards we drew facebook fanfare party – I might have to try this one day! great idea for a bridal shower! 😉
this is fantastic! I’m going to do this for my daughter’s wedding!
I’m so glad I found this. Not only is this perfect for a wedding but a family dinner. It’s certainly a way to wow your guests!
