Meatloaf Sliders

This meatloaf sliders recipe is part of a sponsored post for KING’S HAWIIAN® but all opinions are my own. #GameTimeGrilling

It’s football season which means tailgating, at home or at the game, and tailgating and football are all about the food.  Okay, there’s that game too {wink} but the food is a big part of it, right?  These grilled meatloaf sliders are a fun twist on standard sliders and they’ll be a big hit with the football watching crowd!

I bought all the ingredients for these sliders at HEB.  They carry a great selection of KING’S HAWAIIAN rolls and new BBQ Sauce flavors, the perfect grilling essentials and ingredients for your game day menu!  HEB is a one-stop shop for your game day shopping needs!

KING’S HAWAIIAN Original Hawaiian Sweet Rolls and KING’S HAWAIIAN Smoked Bacon BBQ Sauce are perfect for these sliders!

To make meatloaf sliders, preheat the oven to 400 degrees then mix

1 pound ground beef

1/2 finely chopped onion

1 egg

1/3 cup oats and

3 tablespoons worcestershire sauce in a bowl.

Grease a 8×8 pan and press the meat mixture into the pan.  If you’re making these for a large crowd, double the recipe and use a 9×13 pan.

Bake for 45-60 minutes until the meatloaf is barely pink in the center.

Using a small glass or small round cookie cutter, cut patties from the meatloaf.  {Don’t throw out the scraps around the circles … they’re just as good stuffed into a roll as the circles are!}

Place the slightly undercooked meatloaf patties on the grill and cook over medium heat.

Add the BBQ sauce to one or both sides of the sliders and grill until cooked through.  KING’S HAWAIIAN Smoked Bacon BBQ Sauce is so delicious on these sliders.  It’s made with chunks of rich, smoky bacon combined with a tangy sweet sauce and it’s a crowd pleaser for game day grilling!

… and serve alongside jalapeno jack cheese slices {I divide the slices into four squares each so they’re the perfect size for sliders} and thinly sliced raw onions.

What football fare do you like to serve for the big game?
