I’m on a total roasted brussels sprouts kick right now!  Last night I added maple syrup to my standard recipe and the result was crazy awesome!  This recipe is so simple but so good and if you’re a brussels sprouts fan, I’m sure you’ll love it too!  Be sure to pin this maple balsamic brussels sprouts recipe and let me know when you try it!

To make this simple savory recipe, you’ll need

1-2 pounds of fresh brussels sprouts {I like to buy the ones in the bag that are ready to use and don’t need a whole lot of trimming and peeling}

extra virgin olive oil

salt and freshly ground black pepper

2 tablespoons pure {real} maple syrup and

2 tablespoons balsamic vinegar.

Preheat the oven to 425 degrees.  Spread the brussels sprouts in a single layer on a baking sheet.  Drizzle lightly with olive oil {they’ll get soggy if you use too much olive oil} and sprinkle generously with salt and pepper to taste.

Bake for 15-20 minutes or until fully roasted and browned on one side.  If you want, you can stir them halfway through to allow more than one side to brown.

While the brussels sprouts are roasting in the oven, stir the maple syrup and balsamic vinegar together and warm in a small saucepan over low heat on the stovetop.

When the sprouts are roasted, drizzle with the maple balsamic mixture and serve!  These maple balsamic brussels sprouts are the perfect side dish for any meal!
