Last week I shared an italian soda bar idea and I thought I’d share the recipe separately for those of you that want to skip the party but still want to pin the drink! This recipe for homemade italian soda is so easy and it’s always fun at dinner parties or get-togethers. The guests get to choose their own flavors and kids always love mixing it up. Let me show you how to make it.
Fill a glass half full with ice, crushed or whole cubes.
Add four to five pumps of flavored syrup {I buy Torani syrups and the pumps at World Market but you can also find some syrups in most grocery stores}. Caramel is one of our favorite flavors but they’re all really good!
Fill the rest of the glass with club soda.
Add a splash of half and half and stir until the flavors are well blended. A note: when we use sugar-free syrup, we usually skip the half and half. Something about the sugar free syrup makes the half and half curdle up. It doesn’t affect the flavor but the texture and look aren’t so great!
That’s all there is to it. It’s a super simple way to entertain and a favorite drink at our house. Simply set out a bowl of ice, a variety of syrups, and pitchers of club soda and half and half and let your guests serve themselves! They’ll love making homemade italian soda!

Hi,
these coolers sound really good…I don’t have a pump, so how much would 4-5 pumps be if I use a measuring cup ??
Thanks for the help

Probably about 3-4 tablespoons. I think one tablespoon is about one pump.
