Have you joined the Fixer Upper craze? Chip and Joanna Gaines and their amazing farmhouse style have captured the attention of people everywhere and we all want to mimic some of that amazing style, don’t we? Or we want to mimic the style without the hefty price tag that comes with some of those fabulous finds. I’ve rounded up some great finds so you can get the Fixer Upper look in your own home with just the click of the mouse!
Add a stoneware crock to the center of your dining room table and fill it with fresh flowers. Or use it to hold your commonly used utensils in the kitchen.
Throw a grain sack pillow or two on the couch for a casual, comfortable look.
Fill an empty wall with a large wall clock that’s both functional and attractive.
Place a knit pillow on a chair or couch to add texture and color to a room.
Hang a laundry sign in the most used room in the house!
Use a galvanized wire basket in any room to keep the clutter under control.
A wood crate with galvanized edges is a great way to not only organize a space but also to hide toys, DVD’s, and remote controls.
Place a galvanized tray in the center of a table or island and fill it with a few favorite dishes, a bouquet of flowers, or a fun collection to create a great centerpiece.
Break up the formality of a dining room table with metal chairs mixed into a set. Or use them at the kitchen table or island to add a little color to the space.
Drape a favorite throw or vintage quilt over a barnwood ladder in the family room or a bedroom.
Cool off {or just add some cool decor} with a vintage style fan.
Place metal barstools along the kitchen island for extra seating that can be wiped down with ease.
Add an industrial style coffee table to the living room to add function and style.
Get rid of dated light fixtures and incorporate hanging glass pendant lights into your decor. These look amazing lined up over an island or a table.
Throw fresh flowers into a decorative glass jug and place it on the mantel for quick and easy decor.
What’s your favorite way to add farmhouse style to your home?
