I can’t tell you how excited I am that it’s November!  I love this time of year with the cooler weather and signs of the holiday season popping up everywhere.  During the winter months, hot chocolate is one of our favorite seasonal drinks … and these hot chocolate cooling cubes are the perfect complement to cocoa!

Hot chocolate got a whole lot easier this year!  International Delight now has hot chocolate {and nog too}!  Found in the dairy section and available in dark chocolate and milk chocolate, this holiday drink is ready to pour, heat in the microwave, and serve.  My kids are already loving the ease!

When I serve cocoa to my younger kids, I always cool it down before I serve it to them.  I sometimes cool it off with a bit of International Delight creamer {which also adds a hint of delicious flavor}, an ice cube, or a bit of milk but hot chocolate cooling cubes are my favorite.

To make them, beat whipping cream with an electric mixer until peaks form and add your choice of sweetener: a bit of sugar, flavored syrup for coffee, or a splash of International Delight coffee creamer.  Mix well.

As the cooling cubes melt in the cocoa, they’ll cool it off and provide a creamy topping as well.

Make a batch and store them in the freezer.  They’re the perfect way to cool off a cup of cocoa!
