I’ve been looking for some different, healthier breakfast ideas to shake up our normal routine and get us out of our rut. You can only have peanut butter toast or frozen waffles for so many days in a row before it starts to wear on you, right {wink}? This easy homemade granola recipe has quickly become a favorite at our house and I’m sure you’ll love it too.
This easy granola recipe has very few ingredients, mixes up quickly, and is absolutely delicious! You can buy the ingredients in bulk to make it really affordable and you can customize it any way you want, adding your favorite dried fruit or nuts, and experimenting with more or less sweetness, as desired. Raisins, dried cranberries, and macadamia nuts or almonds are all perfect additions to this recipe.
I love to eat this granola with vanilla almond milk {regular or unsweetened} and it’s equally good eaten alone or with fresh seasonal fruit mixed in.
Easy Homemade Granola Recipe
To make this granola, you’ll need rolled oats, flaked coconut, shelled sunflower seeds, honey, water, and oil.

Easy Homemade Granola Recipe
An easy and delicious baked granola recipe.
Ingredients
- 12 cups rolled oats
- 2 cups flaked coconut
- 1 cup shelled sunflower seeds
- 1/2 cup honey
- 1/2 cup water
- 1 cup vegetable oil
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 325 degrees.
- Mix the dry ingredients in a large bowl then add the honey, water, and oil. Stir well.
- Spread the mixture in a single layer on three large greased baking sheets.
- Bake for 1 hour, stirring every 15 minutes.
- Let cool completely and store in an airtight container.
