This hello summer party post is brought to you by Kazzam and The Motherhood. All opinions are my own.
I don’t know who gets more excited about summer break, me or my kids. I absolutely love the break in routine, the chance to sleep in more often, and all the fun that comes with summer. This year we were super pumped about starting summer break and invited some friends over for a hello summer themed party, complete with a frozen drink slushie bar and the best inflatable water slide the kids have ever seen! And, of course, I used my Cricut machine to add some instant personalization to our party!
The last thing most of us want to do after the final packed month of school is throw a party … but this party was super simple thanks to Kazzam by Party City {a one stop shop for consumers to build their party}!
We knew the weather would probably be pretty hot for our hello summer party {after all, it’s Texas!} and an inflatable water slide would be the perfect activity for the middle school and elementary school aged kids that would be attending. We decided to go with the water theme and shades of turquoise and aqua for our summer party decor as well.
I made a super simple party backdrop out of cheap plastic tablecloths {click on that link to get the instructions to make your own backdrop} and added a few fun crafty details to our party {the crafty details are always my favorite part of any party}!
I made paper and vinyl hello summer tags for the cups …
… and added sunny vinyl straw toppers to patterned paper straws.
I served a few light snacks …
… along with some water {a must in Texas} …
… but the highlight of the food table was the slushie bar!
In addition to the slip and slide inflatable, Kazzam also brought us frozen drink machines and mixes to make the flavors we selected.
I added containers of candy stir-ins to the food table …
… and let everyone help themselves.
The kids filled their cups with any combination of flavors …
… and then added candy mix-ins to their concoctions.
It was such an easy idea but it was a huge hit with the kids and the perfect way to refresh after running around in the Texas heat!
The kids had a blast playing on the inflatable slide …
… getting super wet …
… and it was the perfect way to welcome summer!

Found you via Pinterest (where else?!). Wow, looks like it was a great party! I hadn’t heard of Kazzam before, but will check them out. That inflatable is incredible! Love the colors and the projects you created, especially the backdrop. Always love easy ideas using cheap supplies! I’m hoping upon more perusal, I’ll find more details about that backdrop, but in the meantime, I’m enjoying checking out all of your posts!
