This Halloween, we’ve decided to let our dog get in on the fun {although I’m not sure she considers a shark costume all that fun … smirk}. This year, we’re expanding the trick or treating to include the neighborhood dogs … and I’m sure they’ll come in packs when they find out we’re serving halloween treats for dogs!
Our neighborhood is always a busy place on Halloween night. Kids flock to the door and we hand out hordes of candy. It’s a super fun night! And lots of dogs are roaming with their owners, some dressed up and some not. I thought it might be fun to have a little treat waiting for our four-legged friends this year.
I went to Kroger and stocked up on some of Molly’s favorite Big Heart Pet Treats.
We bought a box of Milkbone Flavor Snacks and a bag of Canine Carry-Outs in bacon flavor {because what dog doesn’t love the flavor of bacon?} …
… and I added a little vinyl to a basket that we’ll use on Halloween night.
We love our dog but there are also a lot of pups in the neighborhood that we just love and I can’t wait to give them a little reward for being faithful trick or treaters on Halloween. After all, pets deserve to be treated too!
Our dog, Molly, will be dressed up as a shark on the big night … and I’m not sure she’s so thrilled about her dog costume and this whole adventure.
She’ll have to get used to it though because we have big plans for this little shark to accompany one of the kids as part of his costume {you’ll have to wait for more details on that one}.
One thing I do know: it looks like the halloween treats will be a good motivator!
Are you dressing up your pup this year?

Oh no, poor Molly! She doesn’t look too viscous, but she sure can chum down those treats! HaHa #client
