Getting to Gnome You Housewarming Gift

This housewarming gift idea just makes me smile.  Have you noticed that gnomes are all the rage this spring?  Wander through your local stores and you’ll likely see a number of garden gnomes in every size.  And I’m loving the bright colors I’ve seen!  I have to admit, I’m a bit smitten with these little gnomes and couldn’t resist grabbing one to use in this housewarming gift.  Add a funny little note and you’ve got a two minute gift for that new neighbor!

This cute little gnome came as a plant marker but if you can’t find that style, you could also just perch a short gnome right in the pot next to a plant, flower, or succulent.  The soil should hold it in place without too much trouble.

Use your computer to create a quick little note that says, “we’re looking forward to getting to GNOME you!” and attach it to the pot, the stick, or even right on to the cheerful little gnome himself.

Does that little saying make you smile?  If you’re watching this season of The Amazing Race, you’ll know where it came from.  Tyler made the little quip and I couldn’t resist borrowing it for this gift idea.

This idea is so simple, truly takes only a couple of minutes to prepare, and is a really great way to welcome a new family to the neighborhood.  Who wouldn’t love to receive a sweet token?

That’s adorable! I love your style! (And I am definitely corny enough to give this to a new neighbor!) 😉
