This frozen hot chocolate recipe is a sponsored conversation written by me on behalf of International Delight. The opinions and text are all mine.

One of the places on my vacation wish list is New York City. I’ve been there for a whirlwind media trip but I want to go back with my husband, see the sights, be a tourist, explore the city, and drink frozen hot chocolate at Serendipity. Until that happens, I decided to bring a little Serendipity to our house and whip up our own frozen hot chocolate.

Sweet surprises are a fun way to share delight with my kids and they were definitely delighted by this sweet treat!

To make your own frozen hot chocolate, blend {in a blender}

5 tablespoons of powdered hot chocolate and

1 1/2 cups of milk until well mixed. Add

3 cups of crushed ice

and blend until the concoction is completely slushy with no ice chunks remaining.

The frozen hot chocolate is delicious but the creamy flavored whipped cream on top is the icing on the … well, you get it. With an electric mixer, mix 1/2 cup of heavy cream on high. When it’s well whipped {with peaks forming}, stir in 1/4 cup of International Delight Sugar-Free Sweet Cream coffee creamer.

flavored whipped cream

Serve the frozen hot chocolate in a glass and top with the flavored whipped cream. Add a little sprinkle of powdered hot chocolate on top and sip through your favorite colored paper straw. It’s delicious!

{And that whipped cream? It’s amazing and it’s perfect on top of anything that you’d use regular whip cream on. Don’t blame me if you become just a little bit addicted!}
