Taco Tuesday is a pretty popular idea, but at our house, any day can be taco day!  Here in the South, tacos are a way of life and I love coming up with new recipes and variations on traditional tacos.  This easy blackened chicken taco recipe uses Tyson® Blackened Chicken Strips so it’s super simple to whip up, even on a busy weeknight, and it’s flavorful and delicious!

I popped in to HEB to grab the ingredients for these tacos.  I love the huge selection at HEB and all the local products.  I found some really great fixings for this recipe …

… including Tyson® Blackened Chicken Strips.  These full-flavored strips are fully cooked so they’re super convenient for busy families like mine.  They can be eaten as an entree or tossed into a favorite salad or recipe. {You can grab a coupon for $1.25 off your purchase of Tyson® Blackened Chicken Strips by clicking here.  Offer good 9/15-10/15.}

I’m a big fan of the seasoned flavor of these chicken strips but I also love that they’re made with 100% real, simple, all-natural ingredients and chicken that’s raised with no antibiotics ever.  The chicken is minimally processed with no artificial ingredients.  And no added breading means fewer calories, more protein, and less fat per serving than other chicken strips.  That’s a win for me!

Tyson® chicken strips can be heated quickly in the microwave or warmed in the oven, making them so convenient for lunches or dinners.

I warmed them up …

… sliced the strips a bit thinner, then added them to white corn tortillas.  Flour tortillas would be equally good but I have a newfound love for the corn variety.

You can top the chicken with any of your favorite ingredients.  I added finely diced red onion, chopped fresh cilantro, jalapeno sauce, and candied jalapenos to add a little touch of sweet to the spicy flavors.

My mouth is watering just thinking about these tacos!

Sprinkle the tacos with queso fresco and serve.  In my house, I just set out all the ingredients and let everyone top their tacos however they wish.

Tyson® Blackened Chicken Strips are so tender and delicious and the sweet and spicy flavors in these tacos make them mouth-watering.  They’re going on the regular meal rotation at our house because you can’t beat a recipe that’s full of flavor and completely quick and easy to make.

Have you tried Tyson® Blackened Chicken Strips?  What would you top your tacos with?
