We’re big fans of Duck Brand Duck Tape® around our house! And we’re always intrigued and fascinated by the entries in the Stuck at Prom® contest so making our own Duck Tape® prom accessories sounded like fun!
I used lime green Duck Tape® with this beautiful floral print {did you know Duck Brand Duck Tape® comes in over 140 prints and colors?} …
… and made a Duck Tape® bow tie and wrist corsage, then let a couple of members of the graduating class of 2024 model them.
A Duck Tape® bow tie is so simple to make. Tear three strips of the contrasting color and lay three strips of the patterned Duck Tape® over them, sticky sides together (1). Use a bow tie template to cut the shape (2) and wrap contrasting Duck Tape® around the center (3).
You can attach a strap to the bow tie or simply hot glue a pin on to the back in order to wear it.
To make a wrist corsage, start with strips of Duck Tape® and fold them in half or thirds horizontally (1). Make small snips along one folded edge, being careful not to cut all the way through the strip (2). Once you’ve snipped the entire strip, start at one end and roll all the way up (3). Using a glue gun, attach the unsnipped end to a piece of Duck Tape® and/or felt. Cut a few leaves, add the flowers you want, and glue a piece of tulle {for tying onto the wrist} onto the back (4).
Simple, huh? It took less than thirty minutes to make these fun Duck Tape® prom accessories!

This is very cute. How long are the strips of tape you used for the corsage flowers? We tried a 12″ piece and the flower is tiny and a 24″ piece and the flower isn’t much bigger.

I used strips that were about 12 inches long. The flowers are quite small but grouped all together, they look really cute.
