This broiled brown sugar grapefruit was created as part of a sponsored post for DOLE as part of the Mom It Forward Blogger Network.  All thoughts and opinions are my own.

My entire family loves grapefruit.  When I was pregnant with my twins, I craved grapefruit and ate two or three whole grapefruits every single day.  Crazy, right?  It’s truly one of my favorite foods.  The only downside is having to cut the sections apart and scoop it all out so I love being able to grab a convenient, ready-to-eat DOLE Red Grapefruit Sunrise Bowl.  And what better way to celebrate National Grapefruit Month than with broiled brown sugar grapefruit!

DOLE Red Grapefruit Sunrise Fruit Bowls make it easy to snack anywhere, anytime, year round.  They’re perfect for lunch boxes and a simple snack to keep in the car for mid-afternoon cravings or post-game hunger pains.

They also make a quick and easy breakfast.  And a healthy one, too.  DOLE Red Grapefruit Sunrise Fruit Bowls contain peak-of-ripeness, wholesome, all-natural peeled grapefruit packed in 100% fruit juice with no syrups or artificial sweeteners.  These new fruit bowls are naturally gluten free, contain no GMO’s, and feature BPA-free packaging.

With just five extra minutes, you can turn this already delicious snack into a slightly sweet, totally delicious breakfast option.  Simply drain the DOLE Red Grapefruit Sunrise Fruit Bowl and pour it into an oven-safe dish.

The sweet, caramelized brown sugar coating is the perfect topping for the grapefruit slices.  It’s a favorite breakfast at our house!

Did you know DOLE is the number one brand in single serve fruit cups?  DOLE Red Grapefruit Sunrise Fruit Bowls are available in the canned fruit aisle of your local grocery store or supercenter for a suggested retail price of $3.99/per pack of four individually-sealed cups.  For more information, check out the DOLE site and be sure to follow Dole Packaged Foods on facebook and twitter.

I had no ideas grapefruit came in those little cups! I am on the hunt for them so I can make this – it sounds delicious!
