Thanksgiving has arrived. I love this day. Great food and time with family … the perfect combination.
Our fall Thanksgiving table is ready for dining. I used a mix of dishes {every second plate gets a piece of my small transferware collection} and brought the outdoors in to add some fall flair.
Burlap runs down the middle of the table, stenciled with Give Thanks.
The centerpiece, based in a vintage copper gelatin mold, is a mix of dried corncobs, colorful gourds, white pumpkins, leaves, and prickly sweet gum fruit. A ribbon of paper bearing ‘give thanks’ runs through it.
A mix of white and red transferware plates are set on chalkboard chargers …
… with embroidered napkins instead of placemats.
Sweet gum fruit with paper labels mark each place …
… and each setting has its own vintage silver shaker {a Canton find} to spice things up.
The final touch is my favorite: a sewn leaf garland draped over my vintage window {inspiration found here}.
The table will be the backdrop for a great meal and great company. Happy Thanksgiving, everyone!

I’m totally stealing your chalkboard charger idea! Gonna go to Big Lots at season end and buy some ! Now to work on my handwriting.
