This post is part of a social shopper marketing insight campaign with Pollinate Media Group™ and Sharpie, but all opinions are my own. #pmedia #StaplesSharpie http://cmp.ly/3/8vNxcO.

I love metallics right now and I’ve been working them into my Christmas decor.  Each year, I do something fun with a small tree that we have and this year I decorated it with a stitched photo garland made with metallic Sharpie pens!

Right now, Staples has a fabulous deal on Sharpies and I stocked up!  I bought a 12-pack of assorted colors for $6 {amazing deal, right?} plus a 4-pack of mixed metallics for $5 and a 4-pack of silver Sharpies for $5.  We all love Sharpie pens and I like to add to our collection when I can get a great deal!  Add Staples to your errand list and stock up for the holiday season!

Once you’ve bought some Sharpie pens, you can get to work making this stitched photo garland for your Christmas tree!

You’ll need: Sharpie pens in colors you like {I used silver}, printed black and white photos {you can just run them through your printer}, plain white paper, a circle punch {not shown}, and a stamp {optional}.

Color the plain paper with a Sharpie pen then punch out circles.  If you like, you can color your rubber stamp and stamp a pattern on the circles instead.  If you use the stamp, you’ll need to give a hot “huff” of breath onto the stamp prior to stamping to ensure it’s moist enough to stamp.

Once you’ve punched out a pile of metallic circles, punch out the faces in your black and white photos …

… and, using a sewing machine, stitch them together, leaving some space in between each one.  I alternated plain white circles with silver circles and the black and white photos.

When you have a long strand of circles stitched together, hang the garland on your Christmas tree.

The silver circles will catch the lights and the sparkle looks beautiful!

Seeing the faces of loved ones all over my little Christmas tree makes me smile every time I walk by.

If silver isn’t your thing, mix it up by using any colored or metallic Sharpie pens.  Neon colors would look really fun or you could mix gold and bronze circles with sepia-tinted photos for a vintage look.

Be sure to visit Staples this holiday season to stock up on Sharpies at a great price and stitch up your own photo garland!
