A Girl’s Night Pinterest Party

Last night I invited a group of friends over for a really fun Pinterest party .  It was so much fun to hang out and craft that we might have to make it a monthly event.

girls night pinterest party

We all pin things to our pinterest boards but so often we don’t actually get around to trying those crafts or recipes.  Setting aside a night to do that sounded like a lot of fun to all of us.

How to Host a Pinterest Party

I sent out an evite, asking everyone to bring a Pinterest-inspired recipe to share and a Pinterest-inspired craft {and the needed supplies} to work on during the party.  Having everyone choose their own projects to work on made it easy but you could also choose one craft for everyone to try and have friends bring different supplies for that project.

We set up a buffet full of all the sweet and savory goodies and it was really fun to try all the recipes that we’ve seen pinned on boards.

We labeled each dish so that we could easily repin a recipe we liked.

In addition to crafting, there was a little TV viewing going on.  The Rangers were playing game six of the World Series so my baseball-loving friends snuck in to watch frequently.  I stuck with crafting {wink}.

There were twelve of us all together {plus a couple of babies} and it was just a really fun night and actually quite productive.

I loved seeing what others were making and we had a great time talking, eating, and laughing.

I talked a bit too much and crafted a bit too little but I did manage to make a couple of things: a little pumpkin barrette for my girls to wear this fall …

… and this upcycled scrabble tile ring that I absolutely love.

I really do hope we make this a regular event because I’m already looking forward to doing it again.

How fun! I wish I could come! My friends aren’t very crafty, but maybe we could pull off a Pinterest food party!

I LOVE THIS! I actually found this post in doing a search on how to do a Pinterest inspired craft party becasue I want to do just that! I was thinking of just doing the craft part so we could all just enjoy doing our crafts together but now I am leaning towards having them all bring something too. What a fantastic idea, great minds think alike!
