I love sweet smells during the holiday season.  Certain scents just evoke wonderful memories, make my home feel festive and inviting, and inspire fun ideas like this holiday hot cocoa bar.

I’ve been burning a Glade® Sweet Holiday Treat™ candle in my home this month and the scent is delightful: a mix of rich cocoa, creamy caramel, and toasted nuts.

My house not only has a wonderfully sweet aroma but the warm scent left me wanting a big steaming cup of cocoa.

I love to entertain my kids and their friends with themed hot cocoa bars {you can find links to other hot cocoa bar ideas at the bottom of this post} so I grabbed a few ingredients from around the house and set up a fun station for our friends.

Don’t tell anyone that the delicious smell is actually coming from my Glade® candle and not the steaming cups of cocoa {wink}!

Simple ideas are always the most pleasing for a crowd of kids and if I keep it simple, I’m always far more likely to do it, especially during the busyness of the holiday season.

I made candy-edged cups by dipping regular styrofoam cups in melted chocolate and then into a dish of chopped Heath candy bars.  They looked really great but they also added a fun flavor to the hot cocoa!

Storebought cocoa looks much fancier when served in a mason jar …

… and I stacked a pile of jumbo marshmallows on a covered cake plate to add an element of fun.

I also stuck a lollipop stick into marshmallows and dipped them into chocolate and crushed Heath candy bars.

These marshmallow dippers {inspired by the candle scent} are the perfect way to stir hot cocoa … or they can just be nibbled on as a sweet snack.

The perfect cup of cocoa is always topped with a dollop of chocolate flavored whipped cream {I whipped a container of heavy cream and then folded melted chocolate into it} …

This holiday season you can enjoy a simple holiday hot cocoa bar or just enjoy those same delicious scents in a Glade® Sweet Holiday Treat™ candle.

And this isn’t the only Glade® scent available.  Glade® always has new seasonal scents!  Delight your senses this holiday season!
