We have a small Christmas tree with colorful lights and I like to set it up in our gameroom and decorate it in a kid-friendly style. One year we decorated it with a pom pom garland and one year the kids covered it in toys and silly string. This year we made a duct tape Christmas tree!
I used three different duct tape patterns and alternated them in a chain. To make the rings, I ripped strips of duct tape {about five inches long}, folded them in half, and closed off the rings with another piece of tape.
I kept linking them until the chain was long enough to wrap around the tree.
I made the star on the top of the tree by covering a wooden star with duct tape and hot gluing it to the back of a wrought iron star I bought in Canton one time {I spray painted it red}.
A little tree skirt drawn on our chalk table finished it off.
I love the bright whimsy of our duct tape Christmas tree!
Gosh I love Duck Tape..SO many ways to use it and SO many great patterns/colors. Your tree is just fabulous!
No duck tape decorations in my house, but I have to say yours are inspiring so you just never know what may happen.
