How to Remove Mold and Mildew

I’m working with Tilex® on a paid basis, but my opinions are my own.

We live in a hot, humid part of the world and mold and mildew are a very unfortunate part of our reality.  I mean, surely it’s not just bad housekeeping, right?  {wink}  If you’re wondering how to remove mold and mildew, I have a product to help you out!

how to remove mold and mildew

Our master bathroom has white, square, builder’s special tiles in the shower.  They’re hideous but a bathroom makeover is pretty low on the list of house projects.  I can live with them but I hate that they show every bit of dirt.  And the grout lines are often covered in black spots.  Mold.  But I’m not alone.  Did you know that 100% of houses in the United States have some form of mold?  Yikes!

Mold appears as discolored patches and when you see it, it’s time to disinfect!

Soap and detergents may remove mold stains but they don’t kill mold which means it’ll just grow right back.  All it needs is a moist, room temperature environment … like the bathroom!  And with the right conditions, mold can grow in as little as 48 hours.

Showering next to my patches of red and black spots, I knew it was time to tackle it with ® Mold and Mildew Remover.  Tilex® contains Clorox® Bleach and it kills 99.99% of household mold and mildew on hard, non-porous surfaces.  And the best part?  It doesn’t require any scrubbing.

It can be used on glazed ceramic tile, grout, fiberglass, glass doors, vinyl curtains, sinks, and no-wax floors.

And if you’ve got a significant mold and mildew issue, you can use Tilex® Mildew Root™ Penetrator and Remover to kill mildew at its roots and remove those nasty stains.

I sprayed my shower with ® Mold and Mildew Remover, walked away for five minutes, and came back to mold and mildew-free tiles!  A simple rinse and the job was finished.  And painless … which is always a great thing to say about housework.

As the weather heats up and the humidity increases this summer, I’ll be using Tilex® Mold & Mildew Remover in all our bathrooms, tackling the mold and mildew before it gets out of hand.

I agree this is a great product. It’s what I use to clean the bathrooms. I even spray the toilet with it.

Mold and mildew are also my problem most especially in our bathroom. I have used an assortment of products before, maybe I should try this one to check out how my tiles will fair. Thanks for sharing!

I’ve never tried Tilex before. I usually go at it with a toothbrush and cleaner. I’ll have to give this a try
