How to Set Up a Cookie and Brownie Dessert Station

This is a sponsored post written by me on behalf of Great American Cookies.

Having friends over is something I love to do and kids and grown-ups alike love a dessert station.  This week I had the chance to attend a delightful blogger event for and I left with plans to host a cookie and brownie dessert station.  I thought I’d share a few simple tips I picked up that’ll show you how to set up a winning cookie and brownie dessert station.

how to set up a cookie and brownie dessert station

1.  Skip the homemade treats and buy some delicious cookies and brownies from .

Homemade is great but it’s way more work!  Buying delicious cookies and brownies means you can spend more time enjoying the party and less time preparing.  It also means you can throw together a dessert station at the last minute when spontaneity strikes.

2.  Provide a variety of treats.

You don’t need great quantities of any one item {unless you know it’s going to be super popular like the NEW! Fudge Brownie made with M&M’s® from } but a dessert station is always more fun if there’s a good variety of treats to choose from.  My favorite on this delicious-looking buffet?  Definitely the rich and chocolatey NEW! Fudge Brownie made with M&M’s® … the addition of M&M’s® make Great American Cookies’ Brownies even more mouth-watering!

3.  Make the dessert station look festive and visually appealing by using tiered stands and cute containers.

Regular plates are fine but a dessert station is much more appealing if goodies are placed at different heights and a common theme runs through the serving pieces.  The red and white striped and polka dot paper goods at this event added a fun and festive touch.

4.  Keep the beverages simple.

Let the desserts have star status.  A bucket of cold water bottles and a pitcher of ice cold milk is all you need to perfectly complement the sweet treats.  Adding a cute tag to the milk pitcher is icing on the cake … or brownie.

5.  Provide cute goody bags and stickers so the guests can take a few cookies home with them.

It’s always fun to send guests off with a little treat in their hand.  Let them pack their own goody bags so they can enjoy one more cookie when the party’s over.
