This duct tape owl pumpkin is a sponsored post written by me on behalf of Duck Brand provided by ShurTech Brands, LLC for SocialSpark. All opinions are 100% mine.

Carving pumpkins is always lots of fun but this Halloween I also did something a bit different and decorated pumpkins with Duck Brand Duck Tape®. Duct tape owl pumpkins were the perfect centerpiece for our Happy H-OWL-oween playgroup party and Duck Tape® in Halloween colors and patterns made it simple and fun to make these unique decorations.

To make an owl jack o’lantern, I used a faux pumpkin and Duck Tape® in a variety of colors and patterns.

Let me show you how simple it is to make.  Start with the eyes.  Cut circles in two different sizes and colors.  To get perfect and equal circles, I used a craft knife and a cutting mat and cut around circular household objects.

The wings are next.  To make them, cut an oval shape {I traced the bottom of a shampoo bottle} and attach them to the front sides of the pumpkin.

For the stomach patch, cut the shape seen below from Duck Tape® and add a circle over it.

Attach a triangle beak and the owl is almost finished.

All it needs to complete it is a Happy H-OWL-oween sign {Duck Tape® attached to a toothpick} …

… and a few ribbons tied to the pumpkin stem.  Simple, right?  And so cute!

And since birds {and owls} of a feather flock together, I added a smaller owl friend, also decked out in Duck Tape®.  These owl pumpkins were so easy to make and so fun!
