Easy Team Snack Idea

With five kids that have all played almost every team sport at various times in their lives, I’ve brought a lot of team snacks on game day.  We always bring a fruit snack for halftime and this customized banana idea is an easy team snack idea and a healthy one too … the perfect combination and a recipe for success for little athletes!  It’s relatively inexpensive and can be whipped up in no time.  And the best part: it’s a snack and a pep talk all in one {smile}!

Team Snack Idea for Game Day

To prepare this team snack, buy enough fresh bananas so each member of the team can have one and use a sharpie, a regular marker, or an edible marker {preferably in team colors} to write on each banana peel.

Add a little inspiring message, customize each banana differently, personalize the fruit with the names or nicknames of team members, or doodle a few designs on the peel.  Bonus points if you can sketch the team logo {wink}.

The thickness of the banana peel will prevent the marker from soaking through to the fruit so the kids can peel the banana as usual and enjoy the healthy snack after reading the encouraging message written on it.

Isn’t that a cute and simple idea for a team snack for game day?  The kids will love it and hopefully it’ll fire them up for the win… it worked for us on our game day!
