Each month I’ve been sharing repurposed ideas with a theme.  This month, with back to school on my mind, I’m sharing eleven ways to repurpose yardsticks and rulers.

11 ways to repurpose yardsticks and rulers
This peg rack made from yardsticks is great looking and practical at the same time.  I love the different colored yardstick right in the middle … it adds something fun to the design.

Yardsticks make the perfect hands on a bicycle wheel clock.  Oh my goodness, this is one project that I could not adore more!

… and yardsticks are the perfect way to top a table.

Rulers make unique and fun drawer knobs {how cute would that be in a classroom?} …

… and yardsticks are such a clever way to embellish stairs {if you haven’t seen this entire staircase before, you must go check it out … it’s fabulous}.

I love yardstick stars and even made my own version to top the Christmas tree.

A ruler lampshade would be so cute in a school room or play room …

… and I already have plans to copy this yardstick stool for my bathroom.  {I may be copying that exit sign as well.}

This desk is just beautiful from start to finish but I do love the yardstick drawer fronts.

And I think a crate made from rulers is hitting my project list immediately.  What a great way to store school papers!

    These are great! I especially love the desk. Where would one find that many rulers or yardsticks?

      If you can’t find old ones, you can always stain them to look aged. Rulers are cheap right now in all the back to school supplies. I’ve also seen a lot of yardsticks at flea markets and ReStore is a good source as well.
