It’s time for another monthly repurposing post. This month I dug up 10 ways to repurpose old chairs!  Chairs are easy to come by {I often see old chairs along the curb on garbage day} so many of these ideas would be simple to replicate.

Easy and Unique Ways to Upcycle Old Chairs

An old folding chair looks amazing when it’s repurposed into a sidewalk chalkboard.  This idea will have me searching for a vintage folding chair!

A chair with a destroyed seat can be turned into a flower pot.  Perfect front porch decor for someone who loves to upcycle.

Or turn a chair into a bird bath with the simple addition of a terracotta tray.

Join three or more chairs together and repurpose them into a bench.  I love the symmetry of this bench but I also saw one that used all different chairs and the whimsical look of it was delightful.

Your furry family member would love a dog bed made from an old chair, right?  I know my dog would think this was a big step up from her plastic crate.

An old chair can be easily repurposed as a side table.  Wouldn’t that be a fun bedside idea in a guest room?

I love these chair backs repurposed as clothes hangers!  They’d be perfect for hanging bulky coats and jackets that always seem to fall off regular hangers.

Here’s another great use for a broken chair.  Turn the chair back into a shelf to hold special, small items.

Need a little something for a small front entrance?  This chair transformed into a hall tree is perfect for a small space … and so unique!

And finally, what child wouldn’t love to have this adorable swing made from an old chair?

Very clever ideas! Those hangers would certainly create some interesting shoulders lines to my tops 🙂

I love using a chair on the front porch as a plant holder. Old ladders are good for that too. Pinning!
